Epithalon
Also known as: Epithalone, Epitalon, AEDG-Peptid, Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly
A synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) developed as an analogue of epithalamin, a pineal gland extract. It is one of the best-known peptides in longevity research because of studies on telomerase.

Mechanism of action
In cell culture, epithalon activated the enzyme telomerase (hTERT) and lengthened telomeres. Studies also describe effects on melatonin production in the pineal gland.
