What is VIP?

An endogenous 28-amino-acid neuropeptide from the nervous system and gut. VIP activates the VPAC1 and VPAC2 receptors and is used in research on cAMP signalling, immune modulation and the enteric nervous system.

VPAC1/VPAC2 agonist that activates the adenylate cyclase/cAMP cascade and modulates inflammatory cytokine signalling in immune cell models.
