CagriSema
Also known as: Cagrilintide + Semaglutide Kombination
A fixed combination of the amylin analogue cagrilintide and semaglutide. CagriSema targets two complementary satiety pathways and in trials produced greater weight reduction than either component alone.
Structure
- Sequence
- Kombination: Cagrilintide (Amylin-Analogon) + Semaglutide (GLP-1-Agonist)
- Molecular weight
- ~8,000 Da (kombiniert)
- Amino acids
- Kombination
- Half-life
- ~7 days (beide Komponenten langwirkend)
Mechanism of action
Cagrilintide activates amylin receptors in the brainstem, while semaglutide stimulates GLP-1 receptors in the hypothalamus. Together they reduce appetite additively and slow gastric emptying.
