Tesofensine
Also known as: NS-2330, Triple-Monoamin-Wiederaufnahmehemmer
A triple monoamine reuptake inhibitor (serotonin, noradrenaline, dopamine) originally developed for Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. In clinical trials tesofensine reduced body weight.

Mechanism of action
Tesofensine blocks the reuptake of serotonin, noradrenaline and dopamine. Higher levels of these neurotransmitters reduce appetite and raise energy expenditure.
