A 15-amino-acid pentadecapeptide derived from a protein in human gastric juice. BPC-157 is one of the most intensively studied peptides in tissue and wound healing research.

Mechanism of action
BPC-157 interacts with the nitric oxide system, influences the expression of several growth factors and modulates GABAergic and dopaminergic signalling. In animal models it promotes angiogenesis and the outgrowth of tendon fibroblasts.
