Growth hormone axis
CJC-1295
Also known as: CJC-1295 DAC, Modified GRF 1-29, Tesamorelin-Verwandter
A synthetic analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH); the DAC version has a half-life extended by a Drug Affinity Complex. CJC-1295 is widely studied in growth hormone secretion research.
Structure
- Sequence
- Mod-GRF(1-29) with DAC-Konjugation
- Molecular formula
- C₁₅₂H₂₅₂N₄₄O₄₂
- Molecular weight
- 3,367 Da
- Amino acids
- 29
- Half-life
- ~8 days (with DAC) / ~30 min (without DAC)
Mechanism of action
CJC-1295 binds the GHRH receptor in the pituitary and stimulates the synthesis and pulsatile release of growth hormone. The DAC modification lets it bind albumin in the blood, which greatly extends its half-life.
