A synthetic hexapeptide and second-generation growth hormone secretagogue. GHRP-2 is one of the most potent growth hormone stimulators in its class, with weaker appetite effects than GHRP-6.

Mechanism of action
GHRP-2 binds the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a) with high affinity and triggers strong growth hormone release from the pituitary. It can also slightly raise ACTH and cortisol.
